Strictly's JB Gill says 'body is starting to hurt' as rehearsals take toll
JB Gill has revealed that his 'body is starting to hurt' as rehearsals for Strictly Come Dancing take their toll.
The JLS star is partnered with professional dancer Jowita PrzystaĆ and has been working hard to learn the routines for the BBC show.
He also revealed that he is finding the training "harder than he thought" and that he is starting to feel the strain.
Gill said: "My body is starting to hurt. I'm finding it harder than I thought. I thought I was quite fit, but this is a different level of fitness.
He added: "I have a lot of respect for professional dancers. They make it look so easy, but it's really not. It's hard work."
Gill is not the only celebrity to find the training for Strictly Come Dancing tough. Previous contestants have also spoken about the physical and mental challenges of the show.
In 2020, former contestant Nicola Adams said: "I've never been this physically challenged in my life. It's been really tough, but I'm enjoying it."
And in 2019, former contestant Catherine Tyldesley said: "I'm not going to lie, it's been really hard. I've been pushed to my limits, both physically and mentally."
Despite the challenges, Gill is determined to do well in the competition and is looking forward to performing in front of the live audience.
He said: "I'm excited to get out there and perform. I know it's going to be tough, but I'm up for the challenge."
